Gingerbread men

I didn't eat all of these- I feel a bit of a fraud actually- I ate my gingerbread man before I remembered to photograph it!
fail!
To be fair I did also drop it in my tea juggling bags, hot drinks, gingerbread, dog and small child up the stairs. It was a feat, I assure you. but squishy gingerbread persons are not so photogenic (get out of gaol free card? I think so!) so I have stolen the official photograph from the Greggs website!
but it was a nice way to celebrate an ace day- and a very smooth 1st lesson with 8-3!
get in!

Brighton Adventure

My Wife enjoying the good weather- it was so sunny! awesome weather for february! we loved the pier- its properly cheesy with all arcades and fun fair rides! we went on the ghost train and everything. we we're more into it than the kids!
yeah, It was nippy in the evenings.
Pretty palace! brighton pavillion- beautiful!
very deco no? in a run down kind of way...
yay! more of my old person persuits- other than mints, tea, puzzle books and 2p machines the ultimate holiday experience MUST have postcards!
yes please to tasty staff and friendly food! :) we never did find out how tasty/friendly- but there's always a next time!

the pier! so pretty!

we had an awesome couple of days away- even when it was foggy! the hotel was a bit mad- we stayed in a "spa hotel" it was a little shabby but the room was huge- and painted gold with all elamis bathroom stuff- so that was me sold!
the breakfast was good too! tea and toast and enough marmalade to make Paddington happy.

we also went vintage shopping- the north lanes are lovely- so many cute independent shops and some flea markets and junk shops and book shops- so much rummaging to be done! oh yes! and we got to have sweets and balloons and cherry wine and thai food... the list goes on and on.. basicly, I had a holiday where I got all my favourite things- all at once.

yeah, mostly we just mooched and ate awesome food- we found Brightons answer to city road...they even had a magic shop and protesters and everything- home from home almost!
I highly recommend!

Jemma Bailey- Thanks a million

In association with International Women's Day 2011 and Milkwood GalleryCardiff - Bailey would like to invite you to say thanks.

Thanks to the nice lady who always gets your morning latte just right, thanks to the refuse chappie who never drops potato peel on your driveway, not like that last pesky rascal.... I wonder what became of him.
Thanks to your parents, siblings, children, teachers and that nice old lady who lives down the road for not telling your mum when she caught you climbing trees in your school uniform.  Even if it was 40 years ago.
Thanks to Grandma for all of the cups of tea, and for trying to make the world a better place while she was younger.
In short, Bailey is asking you to open up your heart and communicate with those that have made a difference in your life, even if it's only a tiny little thing that makes your day.  This is the place to share that feeling and let those people know how much they mean to you without feeling silly.
You can email your thanks to:-
jemmabailey@yahoo.co.uk
Or if you want to handwrite a card or note to say thank you, that would be absolutely brilliant!

please send it to:  thanks a million, Red Hill, Mount Road, St. Asaph. LL17 0DF
or pop it into Milkwood Gallery 41 Lochaber Street. Roath, Cardiff.  CF24 3LS

soo..here are my submissions- yeah, I know, "could have done better if she applied more time" but it's the thought that counts!:

survivalists at buffalo bar

yes, this will teach me for forgetting to put new batteries in my camera. Although, I kinda like the 4-headed effect it gives my friends.
An ace evening and a very suitable debut show by the survivalists.
:)

Ffions birthday preparations!

Tomorrow is Ffions 3rd birthday. so, today we made cupcakes for her to take to nursery and give to all her friends.
that may sound like a simple task, but trust me, it wasn't.

I offered to help ice the last set of cakes with ffi on my own, and it was going pretty well until  we'd just about finished and she asked if she could have a cupcake now. I said no, but if she liked she could lick the bowl whilst I did the washing up.
She took me at my word.
So, I'm there in the sink and all I hear is "I can't reach..." I turned round and she had the bowl on her head.
still full of icing.
nevermind.
thats the point of bath time.

BRECON EXPLORATION

I would like to thank Hayley , Dai, Baker (the baker) and Helen for coming to see me in Brecon- and for a lovely afternoon!
We didn't get as far as talygarth but we did mooch round Brecon- and have desert, so I am delighted. We also found lots of things that I am sure I will never find again.
I am sorry we got so muddy, but it seemed like a good idea! next time perhaps we should wear sturdier shoes?
We went to the pub, the cathedral, the park, up some crazy stairs and to Morrisons. all in all, not a bad adventure. and the weather held out. just.
:)
